To all, Peter DeBruyn in the Pacific Northwest, and not a member of this list has TC 0252. To the best of my knowledge, TC 0251, the pre production prototype was the one converted from a TB and used extensively in the catalog and publicity efforts early on. I had heard rumor of this in Japan as recently as 18 months ago, but no confirmation of this. Anyone else? Best to all...Ben, TC 4260

Don I happen to have one of the last 35 made (presumably in the last week of production Nov 24 1949). At any rate, because of the lateness I always look for TC's newer than mine. I have seen at least one, I believe it was from New Jersey at a GOF. Never heard any talk of TC 10251. Unfortunately, when I found TC10217 it was indeed a basket case with many missing parts, so I wouldn't be much help with originality. Completed restoration in 1990 and just restored it to what I believed it should look like. One of these days I'll get around to posting a picture, meanwhile I'll just drive it and enjoy it. If the first TC were #0251 and exactly 10,000 were built, the last would be #10,250 - not 10,251.
