Re: Spark Plugs
Dear Bid and others,
I use NGK BP6HE. These are long reach plugs suitable for late XPAG's and XPAW's, the latter of which is fitted in my TA and seem to have been fine over the last 3k miles.
I was amused, Bud, by the re-working of `sea level' to `seal level' - unintentional of course, but a tad more romantic!
Sincerely
Jerry Birkbeck

Re: Spark Plugs
Dunno if you missed it, but the new issue of Classic Motorsports has a
article on the Pertronix and other ignition units.
Throw your points away! Get a electronic unit that bolts right in the dizzy
and enjoy reliable ignition. The main advantage is a much smoother running
engine, and one more tolerant of slightly "off" mixture. Probably more
tolerant of seals, too, though no mention was made of them.
According to their dyno, it added exactly 1 horsepower to the out put, too!
Best,
Ray

Spark plugs
I'm fairly new to T's so I don't know all the best bits and pieces to get. So what's the best way
to go for plugs, any recommendations? Thanks in advance for you time on this.

Re: Spark plugs
Bob,
If you have an original XPAG TC engine you will want plugs with 1/2"
threads. I run NGK's number BP6HS, stock number 7331. They seem to work
well, there may be other opinions. As far as I know the original Champions
are no longer available.

NB
Please remember to purchase the Non- Resistor type. I originally got
the Resistor type by mistake.

Re: Spark plugs
First of all, verify that you have a 1/2 reach head. There are casting
numbers that you can look at on the right front top side of the head, or
just remove a spark plug, and use a flashlight to see how long the
threaded hole is.
I have very good luck with
NGK B6HS, or
Bosch Platinum 4214 for a TC.

Spark Plugs
My car is fouling NGK B6HS Sparkplugs. Any advice besides higher revs?
