Hi Everybody, I'm a first-time poster, long-time lurker, and a new owner of an '06 (red). I live in the southern california (Wildomar) area. I have about 700 miles on my bike so far and since I have next week off, would like to take a short trip to initiate myself and my KLR. Any suggestions on a (2-3 day) camping trip? Any suggestions/advice would be much appreciated... Paul

Change your balancer lever (dohickey), get your valve clearance checked. Change your oil if you haven't already done so. Make sure your tires are properly inflated. Enjoy. pswicks wrote: Hi Everybody, I'm a first-time poster, long-time lurker, and a new owner of an '06 (red). I live in the southern california (Wildomar) area. Where is that? Sounds fun. Is it cold? I wish there were more cold weather riders here in Louisiana. It is a rarity when the land ices here. With the right gear it's great riding weather. John T.

Joshua Tree can be freezing at night in the winter. Probably no rain so you can get by without a tent but you need a good pad or inflatable mattress under a sleeping back rated dn to 30 degrees F

Doo Fiddly. I will have to absorb this for awhile. With the right head phones this could be a life changing experience.
