I whack the throttle a few times to raise and lower the headlight if I see someone I deem "indecisive" when turning or pulling out. I've heard people say that they weave side-to-side just a little bit in order to draw attention.

Never use them but have seen those things that make your head light
kinda blink or flash. Really gets your attention. Don't know about
how they work at night or if there is a switch that you can control
the "flashing" of the headlight to make it like a "normal" light or
not.
