torque wrench for the klr 650

Post by Tony JONES » Mon Jan 09, 2006 1:06 pm

They won't do this for the stupid $7 plastic torque wrench case. I asked in the store, they checked and they won't. Also, if you go online you'll see "deliver to store" as an option for most items, it's not an option for the torque wrench case. Beats me, sometimes Sears is just retarded .... I bought a driver light from them a few years ago (magnetic screwdriver with a light built in). Batteries leaked and damaged the bulb assembly so I need a replacement bulb. There is no model# on the driver or the case and Sears is totally unable to search by product name, only part#. I even wrote to their customer service including pictures of the item and they came back telling me they have no way to find the part# without the model# of the item. And you hear that Sears is having troubles, odd really .... Tony

torque wrench for the klr 650

Tony, If you have a Western Auto store near by, check them out for Craftsman tools. The one by us when I lived in NC was so much more helpful on hunting up "unknown" (as called by Sear) parts and getting replacements. They would also replace them with comparable tools when the original part number/tool could not be found. Apologies to non-SoCal listers. Volunteer opportunities are cranking up in the Cleveland National Forest. I plan to get involved. From another list: ------- FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact: Debra Clarke (951) 736-1811 Annual Volunteer Training Workshop Scheduled The Trabuco Ranger District, Cleveland National Forest, will host their Annual Trail Volunteer Training Workshop on Saturday, February 4, 2006 for district trail patrols and trail maintenance. Training will include updates and review of visitor contact procedures, safety and hazard analysis process, radio procedures, fire safety information, resource reporting and mapping, trail maintenance and safe tool use, and volunteer scheduling. Specialists will speak on the local mountain lion study and on the Chaparral ecosystem. The training will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Tustin Ranch Fellowship Hall located at 10200 Pioneer Road in Tustin. Take Jamboree to Pioneer Road, the facility is at Jamboree and Pioneer. Inland Empire residents can shorten the drive by taking the 241 toll road and exiting at Santiago Canyon. Please bring your lunch or a dish to share. A kitchen is available. The training facility is very nice so cold and noise won't be an issue th is year! To insure that we have sufficient training materials for each participant, please contact Debra Clarke at drclarke@... or call (951) 736-1811 x 3227 to acknowledge your participation. New volunteers are welcome. Note: Annual training is a mandatory requirement of the Forest Service. Volunteers missing two or more years will need to reapply. All volunteers must work with someone who has attended the current training. [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
