I weigh a fair amount more than you do and although my bolts still looked alright they were no longer at the correct torque level when I replaced them. They're cheap. Why not replace them? I just used the higher quality bolts , not the through the frame kit. Alan Henderson A13 Iowa

Jim I have heard the KLR250 does not suffer the doohickey problem.Although it does have a chain driven counterbalancer, the chain is way shorter with a less complicated routing, that this has not been a problem.
