IMO, it doesn't matter. I prefer the nut on the right, easier to get a wrench on it, when the bike is leaned to the left. Guru Elden Carl prefers his nuts on the left, and has also stopped using cotter pins on the nuts. Reason is there is less unsprung weight without the cotter pins. :^) Conall

Mine are on the left for the usual reasons. My castle nuts are clevis pinned. I have a center stand, and I am left handed and can pull the wrench upward just fine. I guess a day will come when laying down on the wrench (on the right-side) will make sense to my aging body, but not yet :-) Mike 'dogman' T. Group, Circumstances change and regretably, I must sell the mighty KLX. It is a C model, DID X ring chain, Rocky Mayer Seat (single), Maer (sp?) windscreen (removable), Acerbis 4.9 gal. fuel tank. Have the factory fuel tank, and plastic shrouds (great cond.), needs a rear tire only, includes a set of valve shims (from Fred). Located in N E Texas, between Dallas and Shreveport, La. Nada book is around 2k with current mileage of 22k miles. Frame painted red, black tank/seat. Will entertain all serious offers. Hate to sell but ..... Thanks, Marshall in Henderson, Tx 95 KLXC3 "Blackhorse" (in honor of those who served) [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
