Any guy who would do this needs some serious help. Absolutely the same type of motivation as the sexual sadist, anger-retaliation rapist or serial killer who targets women. Very sad... Walt wrote:Subject: [DSN_klr650] Re: NKLR: Repo4Sale

I agree this is troubling. On the surface it seems like a less horrible outlet for that sort of illness than what you usually see on the news, but I worry that it helps blur the line between reality and fantasy for people who are mostly nuts already. Oddly enough, I'm going to play paintball in two weekends as part of my future brother-in-law's bachelor party. So I'm going to shoot paintballs at the guy who's nailing my sister (but he'll have clothes on). Is this healthy, from a psychological standpoint? While I'm unlikely to get turned on by this, I disagree. I just watched the news story and although the reportress is appalled and portrays it as dangerous and rape-like, these women involved are CONSENTING ADULTS who are PAID between $1,000 and $2,500 in an afternoon to play. Shit, if I was a woman, I'd sign up, get naked, work a couple of months and take the rest of the year off! No different than any other seedy industry in Vegas. Mark

It's not the women that were the focus of the report though, it was the concern about the men who would pay the 5000-10000 to spend a few minutes shooting these women. I totally and completely agree that it could lead one of these guys to act out in more realistic and dangerous ways. But I can probably think of several other popular attractions that can accomplish the same thing. Now I'm not one to run with the censors in the country. In fact, I think we are WAY TOO STRICT when it comes to censorship. But I do think that this needs to be monitored carefully with lots of good paperwork, especailly on the part of the guys who participate. -NM Mark

What's worse: the women who let themselves be shot, or the guys doing the shooting? Like trying to figure out the leading cause of prostitution: Available Women or men looking for them millerized --- In DSN_klr650@yahoogroups.com, Glen Mills wrote:

One is dumb and/or desperate, the other is crazy.

I think this is VERY different from garden-variety prostitution. I would think the average head-shrinker would agree. Do we have anyone in the psychiatric profession on the list? Devon

Conventional economic theory is that demand always preceeds supply.
