how to clean spokes
what are a few good ways to clean my spokes? I was
thinking about fine steel wool or a brillo pad. Do
any of you have any other suggestions?

how to clean spokes
The stock spokes are plated, steel wool or brillo will remove the
plating and allow them to rust. S100 and a pressure washer works well.

how to clean spokes
David,
Honda spray cleaner/polish cleans up oily and road-grime covered spokes with spray-on wipe-off ease. No rubbing, no scrubbing, no hose-off. It is the fastest and most effective cleaner for wheels, especially the rear, I have tried.

Why clean your KLR it will lose its character!!
But if you must try Gunk engine cleaner I used it on other bikes I
see no reason why you can't on the KLR

Try a mesh-covered sponge (the open kind, that you can see the sponge
through the mesh) and your favorite cleaner.
