Bierdo "May your house be safe from tigers" I haven't heard Alexander King quoted in years. Did you ever hear the story about him referring to Forest Lawn as a "Disneyland for the dead". I think it was on an early Johnny Carson show, or perhaps Jack Parr. They subsequently wrote him telling him they would not allow him to be buried there. Ed Windsor

A report I read years ago said that Motocross riders and Soccer players were the most "fit" of the athletes tested, and yes bicycle racers were included. I don't remember where I read it or the criteria for the tests though. I will say that two twenty minute + two laps motos will leave me far more worn out than two hours on my mountain bike. I don't do enough of either anymore. Ed Windsor

This will kill this pesky thread, because I don't care how much exercise I get, they are still going to "take me when I'm gone to Forest Lawn." Oh lay me down in Forest Lawn in a silver casket Put golden flowers over my head in a silver basket Let the drum and bugle corp play taps while the cannons roar And sixteen libertied employees sell souvenirs from the funeral store I want to go simply when I go They'll give me a simple funeral there I know With a casket lined in fleece And fireworks spelling out rest in peace Oh take me when I'm gone to Forest Lawn Oh lay me down in Forest Lawn they understand there They have a heavenly choir and a military band there Just put me in their care I'll find my comfort there With sixteen planes and a last salute they'll drop across in a parachute I want to go simply when I go They'll give me a simple funeral there I know With a hundred strolling strings And topless dancers with golden wings Oh take me when I'm gone to Forest Lawn To find a simple resting place is my desire To lay me down with a smiling face comes a little bit higher My likeness cast in brass will stand in plastic grass While hidden weights and springs tip it's hat to the mourners filing passed I want to go simply when I go They'll give me a simple funeral there I know I'll lie beneath the sand With piped in tapes of Billy Graham Oh take me when I'm gone to Forest Lawn Rock of ages cleft for me For a slightly higher fee Oh take me when I'm gone to Forest Lawn -----Original Message----- From: racingreplicas@... While you are at it, why don't you hit yourself on the foot to numb yourself while you perform your own appendectomy, and then get out your Black & Decker and fill your own cavities. Maybe it is because I is one, but having a lawyer will greatly help you understand your rights and your responsibilities towards your own situation. They can help you best determine what is an appropriate settlement value for your bike as well as for your personal injury and they can help you weed through the red tape should the other insurance company choose to make it difficult. Yes, there are cases where someone gets a fine insurance adjuster on the other end and comes out okay. We all know of them and citing them doesn't contradict the fact that insurance adjusters have ONE goal: to pay as little as possible for any given claim. Steve, to answer your specific question about a "reasonable" settlement. Refer to your lawyer or actually spend the time to know what the courts in YOUR area are awarding as damages. What someone "normally" gets across the state or across the country really won't help you in your case. If you want to talk about it email me direct. -Scott Scott C.
