[dsn_klr650] tire pressure

i haven't actually used it on the scooter yet, but i have confidence in my blackburn mammoth mtn bicycle pump. it's only about 12-14" long, easily fits in a camelbak or toolpak, and pumps up a mtn bike tire to 40 psi in under 2 minutes. i've been using it for years on mtb expeditions and races. i'd guesstimate (from using my big floor pump on bikes and motorcyles), that to go from say 15 up to 25 psi on a klr rear wheel would probably take 5 mins or less. maybe if i'm bored tonight i'll try it. it doesn't have a gauge, so you have to either guess well, or use a real one. -mark weaver

I found the CO2 cartridges to have no useful capacity. I carry a little bike pump - roughly 11 strokes per lb. for the rear, 8-9 strokes for the front. Stuart

Thanks so much Dash! I was beginning to wonder if my previous post went into digital never-never land. Kev -----Original Message----- From: Dash Weeks Hi Kev, I suggest calling SuperTrapp 216.265.8400. I just ordered an S-pipe assembly and hardware kit for my IDS Silencer. Didn't seem to be a problem item and perhaps they have lots of different configurations. I don't know what your inlet diameter is but the header diameter has to be the same. The hardware kit is #010-6600 and is $17.91 He went too fast to write down the S-Pipe # but is $56.32. At least for my application. Good deal for me. I picked up a brand new IDS system for a KLX650 for $90. The Silencers are universal. So I get a replacement S-Pipe and hardware for $65 and I still saved a bundle over retail on the KLR system. The whole system costs me about the same as retail on the universal IDS silencer alone. We'll see how my neighbors like the Race Series Core. laterZ Dash
