I have been following the thread on gearbox oils with interest. My TC was restored by Steve Baker in 1990 for the 91 Monte Carlo Challenge and was fitted with a Ford Diff and Ford Half Shafts.Have any Listers any experience of this Diff and does this alter the recomendations regarding oil types ie should I be using a Hypoid Oil?

Paul if the diff is a Hypoid type (pinoin low in the case) than I would think
Hypoid oil is the ticket.

You have thec, you have the FIA papers, hopefully a FIVA pass as well. Are you going to do anything meaningful with it? We use our TA for Rallying (just did the Tulip) - can only recommend it. Brian

Thanks to all the replies re the Gear oil Question. I have now decided to
use Castrol EP140(GL4 spec.) in the TCs Gearbox and Penrite 85w/140 (GL5
spec) in the rear axle (ford diff).I didnt realise there was so many
 variables!!
 Regards Paul TC3348
