Re: MGTC era music
For music with the sounds familiar to the TC chauffeur, I'd suggest Spike Jones & His City Slickers. On the other hand, paraphrasing the old army saw regarding a wife, if Abingdon thought you needed a radio in your TC, they would have issued you one and installed it at the factory.

Re: MGTC era music
Hello Chip,
Me neither! (gleam....that is!) But I don't think that even the
Brits would be so cold-blooded as to shoot down Glenn Miller (but
don't get me talking about Di!) as he was hugely popular over
there, as all Yank musicians have been.

A bit late on this theme as we had a great electrical Storm last week and I
lost my modem.
Two years ago the child bride and myself visited the tunnels under Dover
castle and they had on sale there a great cd featuring all the songs of the
war era , great stuff, play it all the time here in OZ

I believe that current findings indicate Miller's plane was downed by the
concussion of jettisoned bombs.....a regrettable friendly fire accident.

Hello Ray,
Yes, there was a programme about this very subject on the History
