I was also surprised that the crash scene from "Island in the Sky" also appears to have been missed.. lots of lines and black spots, and not sharp. Funny part is that the rest of the episode is flawless. Mike

Lots of great shots of the robot, though, so not a total loss.

Yes, I noticed the same thing.
Fortunately, it s one of my least favorite episodes. I like the Carrot better than this one!

I'm not sure if anyone can help but I really want to buy the bluray set.  I want to see my favourite scifi show in all it's glorious colour in high definition.  The only thing that is preventing me to purchase is all the negative feedback on the packaging.  It seems criminal after spending all that money to have to dispense with the packaging and put the discs in a plastic case, though I can see why people are doing this.  Why on earth did Fox think it was a good idea to put a collectors set like this in cardboard sleeves.  I'm not knocking the graphics, they look really good but why didn't Fox incorporate them into a plastic case for the discs?  Now my question, does anyone know if Fox are going to offer this disc set in a proper collectors plastic case set anytime soon in the future?

I know everyone compalins about the packing, but StarWars and the Twilight seriese came the same way. I would not let that keep you from buying it.  Its really worth it in spite of the packing.  I poped my copy out and put them them on an old  25 pk CD spindle right off the bat so they are ready to use at a moments notice.    Bobby

I will probably buy the set because I want to see the show in crystal clear hi def.  Last week I bought Space 1999 season 2 on bluray and the episodes are sharp and really clear and because it is a collectors set, all the discs are housed in a plastic case , so absolutely no handling problems with the discs.  I do have LIS on DVD so I could take those discs out and put the bluray set in their place.  It's just a shame we have to do this when so much time and effort has been put into the superior quality of the bluray discs.

I'd say it's a must for any fan of the show. While I think they could have done better with the packaging also, it's not like we're going to be handling the disks all the time. Plus it takes up a lot less room on the shelf this way. The whole set is as small as the first season of the old dvds. The disks should stay scratch free if you don't push them really far and tight into the pockets. I doubt there will be any different releases as far as the packaging on this. They may possibly release a wide screen set if this one sells well enough.    -Roy

Attachments :I couldn't agree more.  No, the packaging is not what I would have chosen.  But I've found that life is too short to let the details get in the way.  Nothing is perfect, including my B9, but I still love him!

So I say that the cup needs to be half full.  The actual episodes are absolutely beautiful.  So don't hesitate to purchase!

Just my 2 cents.

I sold my Lost in Space DVD sets. All of them. Replaced them with the Blu's.  Yes, the packaging is a bit tight but workable. Love them.
For the audio CDs, just sold my CD sets on ebay too.  Replaced them with the 50th Anniversary set from LaLaLand. It's really good too.

Highly recommended.
