I know that many of you are familiar with Craig Seabrook of the Whitworth
Shop in Novelty, Ohio. I am writing this note because I am just amazed at the
outstanding craftsmanship that Craig's work displays. I had him chrome, paint
and letter my instrument panel, restore the horn/dipper switch, the ignition
switch, a panel switch, convert a map lamp to a 30 mph lamp, cover the dash
with fabric and attach the chrome. He restored the mixture control and slow
running cables. He even sent my gauges to John Marks in England. I can't
praise his work highly enough. Every item he did came back in perfect like
new (probably better than new) condition. He is a true craftsman. He called
every time before starting work to review what was to be done and the best
way to accomplish the task. Everything he said he would do he did. He
certainly exceeded my expectations. And to show his character, he trustingly
sent the restored items back asking for payment in 3 days. I would recommend
Craig to anyone who wants superb work done on their T.
BTW, Craig is also a cabinet maker and has all of the wood for the T's and
will even restore the T tubs. I would recommend getting one of his catalogs.

Craig has been restoring T-Type dashboard componants and supplying wooden
body parts for many years, and does excellent work.

As an interesting (to me, anyway) sidenote, a few weeks ago I was using
various Web search engines to look for sources of used parts for Gravely
Model L garden tractors. I came accross a Web site for the "Gravely
Tractor Club of America" which had a lot of useful info, and discovered
that Craig is the president of that club.

Having had the opportunity to visit with Craig at his home shop, I can
attest to his attitude, skills, and dedication to turning out the best wood
work your $ can buy!

And... not only is he a Gravley tractor crazie... he has a world class
collection of Colman lanterns!

I also endorse with enthusiasm Craig's work and knowledge. He and Fred do
excellent and expert work. I've heard that Craig also has an incredible
collection of Coleman lamps.
And I have to thank Fred for his assistance in helping me determine the
"correct" shade of green for my TC.

Need Help,

I'm in the process of restoring my TC, right now it's
being sanded down before being sealed. It has a wine
colored red. I'm trying to get the proper color code
to be painted in base color (dupont) and urethane
clear coated. Does any one has the color code in
dupont or RM brand. I want it to be the correct color
for 1947 offered.

Base caot/clear coat is all the rage now, but it just looks wrong on a vintage car. Too shiny, too deep, too plastic.
Go with a Urethane two part paint like Deltron and color sand/buf to your hearts content. Avoid the old DuPont Imron.
While great stuff in its time, it is too brittle for our wobbly old fenders ans it is a bitch to sand.

I'll add my accolades for Craig also - he is a master craftsman, and the
rosewood dash in my latest TC (even if "incorrect") is really beautiful.
However, I didn't know he was into tractors and lanterns.
