Probably not fact, but I saw on the news this morning that Ford was considering buying all of the rover group from BMW Dean

Not quite true They have sold Range Rover to Ford. Sold the Longbridge
production plant to a British group who will call it MG Ltd. Have kept
the Cowley Oxford operation to produce the new Mini also the new engine
woks in Birmingham.
this is a very very brief out line of the situation but one thing is
worth celebrating, MG is now back i the hands of a British Group who has
indicated that there could be a new MG in the pipeline and that it, in
company with the new Mini, will be in the USA in the future. I'm sure
our British colleagues can expand on the situation in more detail, all
my news is from the BBC overseas broadcasts and a few friends that I
still have in the old country!
