Safety Fast

Post by ssuklis » Tue Sep 16, 2003 12:39 pm

...Anyone out there who collects the "Safety Fast" publications?
An old friend and lifelong TC owner passed away recenty, and his
widow has asked me to get rid of all his collections of car books,
magazines, etc. on e-bay. There's a whole lot of stuff, but in
researching e-bay, I don't think the Safety-Fast collection is an
item of any great interest for that venue.

The most valuable item in the collection (which I will put on e-bay)
is the complete Automobile Quarterly collection, from issue no. one
to present, including the four index books. In like-new condition.

The collection of Safety Fast seems to cover 1970 or 71 through
1980. I have no idea if they even have a value. I'd welcome any
ideas anyone out there might have about what to do with these...sell
them, or????

Many thanks,

Sam Suklis

John makes a good point. A lot of people would benefit, so it's certainly
worth asking.

hi Sam - of course Safety Fast! magazines have value, but only to those who
want them: don't bin them!!! There cannot be many M.G. enthusiasts in the
States with a complete collection, so this is an excellent opportunity to
acquire some. FWIW, I have every one from 1967 to date (not for sale), plus
a lot of spare copies from 80s & 90s (which are, also spares of MG
enthusiast) so if anybody is interested, let me know.

cheers

Perhaps the MGCC already has scanned the magazines to a website?
And we can all see them there. . . .Sally
