Gentleman regarding the nuts that hold on the badge, may I make a suggestion
that when fitting the badge to the radiator shell you put a "Blob" of silicon
adhesive behind the badge as well as installing the nut. I say this because I
had a NOS badge pop off the stud leaving me with a stud and nut but no badge.
Annoying to have lost the badge but even more annoying to remove the shell to
replace the missing badge.

Guys; I had the problem too. One stud broke off the badge during
installation.
I think this time we should have the manufacturer do a better job of
installing
the studs on the badge. Barc

Terry & group. Yes you are correct Terry. It is the nut that came loose
during installation. It is soldered on the badge. I suspect it is so small
that there is not much contacting the badge and there are so few threads
on this small nut that the stud bottoms out quickly on the badge. Maybe
silver solder and/or a bigger nut would help.
By the way this is not meant as a criticism of the badge but an attempt
to improve the mounting. Barc

I would think the surface area of the #10 would be better than the # 8 which
does seem small; brazed would be even better than the previous soldered.

If strong enough for rear oil, why not secure the nut with JB Weld?! :-)
