Bob Grunau of this list owns the TC 8654 EXU, which is the car manufactured
right after yours. He is located near Toronto so I wonder if your 2 cars
did not share the same boat ride to Canada. His car is cream color and
yours is.....?

I got one, TC-8654 EXU, original engine XPAG 9400 still installed. Owned
since 1967, restored and re-restored twice,.over 100,000 miles in my
ownership. Still going strong. Pleased to meet any of you guys at Sandusky
Ohio, GOF Central, !/2/3 July. Original cream colour and green upholstery .
I didn't know it was an EXU when I first bought it so the first restoration
had TC 8 " headlights. Live and learn if you keep your mind open.

The car was discovered by me in Houston -TX about 20 years ago in not a
too good, but driving condition.
I brought it to Hamburg where it joined my wifes's 1950 TD. Did some work
on it to complete prevous owners "restoration" efforts. Recently I decided
to a complete overhaul including renewal of all woodwork and most of the
"iron" bits and pieces by a german company called Mika in northern
Germany. It took us two years but was worth it.
