I already have all 4 programs written for the mac. I ordered them 2 years
ago and they just arrived. no worries about mail virus, though. the 12
guys worldwide who have macs don't present a large enough target!

===and - because my pc had been down

I have been working from my laptop and the most recent members did not
receive the usual T-ABC Welcome Message - as follows:

OUR T-ABC WEBSITE

The T-ABC Website created by Walter Prechsl has photos of members and their
cars, MG stories, names of suppliers, available literature, clasified ads,
special files, etc. You can visit theT-ABC site at _http://www.mg-tabc.org_
(http://mg-tabc.org/)

PHOTOS AND BIO'S

Members are encouraged to send photos of themselves and their cars along
with a brief biography for posting on the T-ABC website ( _http://mg-tabc.org/_
(http://mg-tabc.org/) )

Photos may be (1) emailed to Walter at walter@mg-tabc.org
(2) snail mailed to

Walter Prechsl
Kappelaecker 10
D-74182 Obersulm, Germany

It is not possible to email attachments to the List address. You can
however post photos on our Yahoo site (see "Our Yahoo Site- below)

SPECIAL FILES ON OUR WEBSITE

The "Special Files" and "Members"sections on our website are not accessible
to the public and can be accessed only by entering

user name: mg-tabc
password: xpag

I have discovered that sometimes one needs to delete the xxxx that appears
there and then type in the password "xpag" - and you might have to try it a
couple of times.

T-ABC CAR BADGE

T-ABC member Austin Baer designed a T-ABC car badge which can be viewed at
_http://mg-tabc.org/badge-photo.jpg_ (http://mg-tabc.org/badge-photo.jpg) .
If you own a TA TB or TC and would like to purchase a badge just send $35 US
currency, personal check, money order or bank draft to:

Jim Shade
2110 E. Mesita Ave.
West Covina CA 91791
USA

T-ABC EMBROIDERED PATCHES

Cloth patches, the same design and size as the car badges are also available
for $4 each.
They may be viewed at _http://mg-tabc.org/t-list-gall-08.htm_
(http://mg-tabc.org/t-list-gall-08.htm)

SENDING EMAIL TO THE GROUP

To send an email message to all members on the List, just address your email
to

mg-tabc@yahoogroups.com

OUR YAHOO SITE

You can elect the way you want to receive T-ABC messages; "Individual
Emails", "Daily Digest" or "No Email" . Just go to
_http://groups.yahoo.com/group/mg-tabc_ (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/mg-tabc) , click on the "Edit My
Membership" and revise method of email delivery. If you have a problem, please
see the "Yahoo" addendum below.*

And you can review past messages and search them by subject matter; Just go
to _http://groups.yahoo.com/group/mg-tabc_
(http://groups.yahoo.com/group/mg-tabc) ,click on "messages" and type in your subject.

And you can also post photos on the Yahoo site. Just go to
_http://groups.yahoo.com/group/mg-tabc_ (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/mg-tabc) , click on
"photos", and add your photo. Then send a message to the List, alerting them
to the fact that you have posted a photo.

Occasionally members have experienced problems accessing our Yahoo site
_http://groups.yahoo.com/group/mg-tabc_ (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/mg-tabc) ,
If you have a problem please read the "Yahoo Addendum (below).

TO LEAVE THE LIST

If you want to leave a list, just send the following message

To: fdshade@aol.com
Subject: unsubscribe
Message: (tell us why you are leaving please)

You should now start receiving T-ABC email messages from other members. If
you don't receive any messages in a day or two, please let me know.

That's it ! Any questions just email Jim Shade - FDShade@aol.com

====Oh, one more thing

PLEASE restrict your messages to T-ABC related matters. With over 500
members, extraneous email messages can become distracting.

Also, if you want to advertise a service or product, please send your
advertisement to Walter for posting on our "classified" page. Then send a short
email to the List alerting members to the ad.

* Yahoo addendum:

1. Each person registers with Yahoo as an individual. You make up
your own Yahoo ID and password. Start with the web site:
http://groups.yahoo.com/

2. Click on any one of the several links to register and fill out the
boxes with your info. The Yahoo ID is of your choosing as long as
someone else has not already used it. Make it easy as you can as you
have to remember it and type it in each time you enter. Ditto on the
password. You will be asked for an alternate email - use the one you
are on the TABC list with if you have more than one email address.

3. Somewhere along the way it will ask if you want a Yahoo email
address. It is not a requirement and I would decline as it just
confuses the process but it is up to you. You could always get one
later if you really want it.

4. Another step you have to do is verify your email address with
Yahoo. I am not sure when you are asked to do this, but maybe during
the initial registration process. To verify they will send a code
to your email address (again, use the one you are on the TABC list
with). Once you have the code you enter it in where they tell you
and then you are verified. They usually send the code out within the
hour but sometimes it is longer. If the verification process isn't
done in the initial registration then you will have to go to Account
Info on to do that.

5. Hopefully that will bring up the TABC group up on your Group list
in Yahoo. If not, or if it is there but you cannot access the
archives and other info, then you have to link your email address to
the TABC group. This is is done through the "My Groups" link. This
may involve doing another verification of your email again.

6. As you can see there is alot of linking and verifiying that Yahoo
makes you do. You will be asked for your password a million times
too. The whole process will test your patience.

Don't bother searching for TABC or mg-tabc in the "Join a Group".
For some reason it is hidden.

Once fully registered you can change your subscription options and
view the archives.

Good luck. If you have any problems in the registration process feel
free to contact, David Edgar, with our TABC group for assistance at:
_djedgar@pacbell.net_ (mailto:djedgar@pacbell.net)

Hey Jim:

digitaldon is VERY intrigued by the below in today's update:
>Harris, Colin ----------- _lizandtweed@yahoo.co.uk_
(mailto:lizandtweed@yahoo.co.uk) ----Royston in Hertfordshire, UK
1947 TC 2259 XPAG 2948

who writes: after drooling over the cars in the `gallery` for the past few

digitaldon is PARTICULARLY piqued by Colin's reference to a Morris Minor R&P
installed in 2259, and likely very similar to the one in 7993, which
digitaldon is extremely reluctant to give up in favor of one of the more
politically correct setups that have been discussed at length the last year
or two. Andy Clayton in Oz also has one installed in 4054
(andyc@alphalink.com.au) and was kind enough to send me extensive pics of
it. Can't wait to see Colin's. Perhaps he could post 'em to Walter who
might be persuaded to add 'em to the site. By tomorrow or Tuesday will be
just fine, guyz. ;
