Hello Digital Don, Ross, Ray,

I started on Macs - missus is a graphics type - (No, Badger!) saw no reason
to change, and the more I see of PCs, the more convinced I am that I might
have a point.

Regards, David ( Yes, that's me. I admit it! Way off topic!) Lodge

Perhaps it was 3000 Dinars; that would be 16 cents AUS.

Hi again, Ross:

When you say "locked files" I'm wondering if you're trying to get into the
ones on the TABC website. If so, that's the wrong place. The
photo-posting where all the members put pictures is on the YAHOO site that
manages the list itself. You have to just sign up and give yourself a Yahoo
password at the site, then go for it by clicking on "photos". (on the left
side of page)

the web address for that is: http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/mg-tabc/

You can also manage your TABC mail from there, like deciding if you want to
go to the site to read the members daily posts, or receive them in your own
e-mail\\

I just mailed you a copy of the photo...did you get it ok?

best regards,

Sam

T-ABC'er Clem Vernon (vernons@ibex.co.za) recently had his garage broken
into, some tools stolen and his TC set afire. HIs loss was not covered by
insurance. This unfortunate incident presented an opportunity for fellow
T-ABC'ers to lend a helping hand. and several members have offered parts for
repair. I asked Clem if he would give me his address and a list of items
still needed to repair the damage. He responded as follows:

" The support shown by the group is greatly appreciated and shows what a
friendly and helpful bunch they are. I have always helped when I could and
this is being more than returned. I attach a preliminary list of bits:

DASH
starter & mixture cables,
Ignition warning light
Accessory plugs
Fog & Dash light switches
Ammeter
Speedo
Rev. counter
Map reading lamps
RUBBER
Bonnet rest
Pad set W/screen brackets to cowl
W/screen draught excluder
Side lamp pads (top & bottom)
Pedal pads
accelerator roller
Brake & clutch draught excluder
Steering col. Excluder
Door buffers
Heelmat
Pad set wing/running boards
Running board inserts (1 side only)
Bonnet corners,
Bonnet restraint?
CHROME
Striker plates & door locks
Off side door handle
Wing nuts seat adjusters
Wing nuts side screens
Windscreen top and bottom rails
ELECTRICAL
Regulator (one U/S would do as I may be able to sort one out from a MINI's
This list isn't exhaustive but just a quick thumb-suck.

I'll source the body wood locally and with TC's FOREVER's help and local
patterns attempt it myself. The same for floorboards etc.
Upholstery is a different matter but due to cost restraints will have to go
the local route.
Wiring will be the same procedure.
Body panels appear OK with only some minor warping and need to be picled and
coated ASAP
Good news is that the front and rear escaped thus Alteetr horn, SFT27 and
badge bar as well as D lamps are OK.

The support shown by the group is greatly appreciated and shows what a
friendly and helpful bunch they are.

(Note from Jim)
If you send a part, please inform the group so that duplicate parts aren't
sent. If you don't have spare parts and want to help, a five dollar
contribution should go a long way in helping Clem get TC 7217 back on the
road. Here is Clem's address:

===and - as you know

Clem

(Note from Jim)
If you send a part, please inform the group so that duplicate parts aren't
sent. If you don't have spare parts and want to help, a five dollar
contribution should go a long way in helping Clem get TC 7217 back on the
road. Here is Clem's address:
