Pretty clever site, Jim. I'm still laughing at the answers.

I purchased the TC about five years ago. It had been cosmetically restored in

is an export car that from what I am told came into California judging from
the "school bus" style turn signals. I vintage raced the car for the past
three years with the VSCDA at Road America and Blackhawk Farms. This was the
intended purpose and the rewards have been fantastic, not only the track
experience but the people I race with in Group One are wonderful.

Is there time to mention this on your email list to members and perhaps get a
few more bids

High Group:

Moss part no. 408-577 and 408-567 will work quite well to mount the TABC badge.

I've just purchased a TC, which I'll be having restored by Lawrie
Alexander. After reading as much as I could on the web about TC
specialists, I made a trip to the US to visit Lawrie. He had arranged for
me to visit a TC he had restored 5-6 years earlier, and after a test drive
and visiting with Lawrie, I decided to ask him to find me a TC. While I
spend most of the year in Hong Kong, I spend part of the summer in
Portland, OR. The TC is for use while I'm back in the US on summer leave.

Details of the car:

TC8230, XPAG 8998 builder's plate shows this as original motor

Title says 1948, but comparing the numbers to Sherrell's book indicate it
built in March 1949. Lawrie says it looks like a home market model that
was imported to the US at a later date, and the mistake about dates
probably occurred when registered.

Currently, the car is green / beige, but I'll have it finished as red / beige.

The previous owner had started a home restoration, but illness forced him
to abandon the project. I'll have Lawrie do a complete restoration anyway,
so that we know everything is done correctly.
