The color is blue exterior, repainted by hand by previous owner, needless to say his restoration was interrupted after part of the frame was redone. The car seems to be mostly here, although in pieces, working and not. Appreciate the e-mail service as I will have plenty travails in the months, { yrs.} ahead.

who writes:

I'd love to peruse the list, as one who's been driving TD's since the early fifties, though a lifelong enthusiast of all things MG particularly TC's. For practical purposes we've (so far) stuck with a succession of TD cars. It doesn't lessen my love of the TC's one whit, and I love to keep up with everything about the early cars.

There is a TC in our future, it appears, as the one TC I've said I'd get if it ever became available (and I said it back in 1955) looks like it might at last join our family later this year.

The owner, a former fellow-member of the old (now extinct) 4-cylinder sports car club in Portland in those days, was a close friend over all these last four-and-a-half decades to last September, when we lost him. His wife knew If ever the car left their family it was meant to join ours, and called to say Bob would have wanted it to go to us, so it's probable we'll purchase it in the near future, when she calls us to come help take it out of storage.

If and when the "C" arrives, the TD will remain, of course. It's an old friend, too, and a very special one. Thirteen years ago, Alan Moss and Clyde Kirkpatrick took the frame (which was all that was salvageable after a garage fire that had burned the car to the ground) and embarked on a project of restoring it into a car that would be as close a representation as possible of what a TD would look like if it were built in the 30's... fairly unique, it's a car to keep a lifetime. It's been to GOF's in states all over the Northwest, (a traditon we'll keep going)...goes like the wind, and a joy to own and drive.

Thought you would be interested to know that this past weekend there were over a dozen TABC members who attended the Gathering of the Faithful held at Sebring, Florida. They included the following: Gene & Ann Gillam, Thom Collins, Bruce Collins (the one from N. Carolina) & wife, Neil Olson & wife, Bob Wrenn, Pierre Moreau & wife, Sandy & Edie Sanders, Will Bowden, Carol & Bob Marcom, John Miceli & June Gillam, myself and wife Kate..
As part of the GOF, over 100 MGs drove two laps of the Sebring race course. That was a real thrill, even though we had to stay behind a pace car the entire time!
As I recall, the top three Concours places in the TC class were taken by cars owned by TABC member.

I am sure our Canadian members will pipe up on this but a quick web
search came up with the following.

The flag refered to appears on the Canadian ten dollar bill.
Rather than an Americian flag it is actually one of the tentative
'Union Jacks'; signifying Canada's alligance to Great Britian.
