To Hell with the lawyers, how about an apology to us idiots?

We reside in the UK and live in a small rural hamlet betwixed Chesterfield
and Matlock in the county of Derbyshire . There are some great TC roads in
Derbyshire - hills ,valleys and views.
As a matter of interest I owned a TC way back in my youth. car no.8533 xpag
9198. over 40 years ago I sold it and the new owner said he had shipped it
out to san francisco. some time ago I contacted a tc register in the states
(New England ?) in an effort to trace it but I did not get a reply. Is it
possible to track its whereabouts in the states assuming that it is still
about over there ?
I am currently restoring our TC and I have replaced most of the timber frame
and now
nearing completion of the sheet metal skin.I completed the rolling chassis
five years ago (yes 5!) but a house move etc., has delayed things a bit ! I
am going to respray the car its original red although I am not sure of the
particular shade of red - any suggestions ?
I have got all the original bits and bobs except the front and rear bumpers
(fenders). It's hard to imagine a tc with bumpers but they were fitted to
exu types only.
===and we now have some money
The sale of T-ABC car badges produced a nice little profit. Rather than
charge for postage, which ranged from $1.65 for local delivery to $10.80
(Switzerland), the $35 price of the badge included postage. It turns out we
now have money left over. So, Walter says; "Please tell members they no
longer should send money to help pay for the maintenance of the T-ABC website
and participation in the advertisement free eGroups program."
===and did you know that

===and finally, here's a bumper sticker I saw in Los Angeles:
"I wonder how you'd drive with that car phone shoved up your --- "

Just a little about my TC - I have owned it since the sixties when it was in

another tidy up is due. During this time it has only been out of commision

place. Unfortunately during the last few years I have had severe problems
with the car stopping every10 or so miles during a run. I blame this on the
changes in the formulation of modern fuels and if I cannot solve this
problem within the next few months I am afraid a non original type engine may
have to be fitted since my sole purpose of owning the car is to use it. I
look forward to contacting other T-ABCers for advice and commiseration.
