You fellows using those THICK wooden dowels are fooling yourself about
the remaining quantity of petrol!
The thinner your stick the less fuel you'll displace thus giving a FAR
more accurate reading.
Bill - With the thinnest stick in Nashville.

Gee whiz I did not know that. If it means anything, I was
at the first- Ichi Ban- #1 GOF in Laconia ,NH. Also #2 etc.
Getting Old and Grey and in the way. My bride was activated again for Navy
medical duty. Will be gone for up to a year. Just me and the kitten at home.
Cousin Bruce Collins has some accurate petrol sticks ala
Yankee style measurements.

OK, but just you try beating off one of our Colorado Bears with your puny
stick. Mine can do the job and still tell me how much petrol is left. With
yours it would not matter, as you would be in the process of being digested,
if you know what I mean.
