welded hubs

Shortly after I aquired TC 8970 some 15 years ago I discovered that a PO had welded the rear hubs to the half shafts. I realized that this was bad so I bought two new hubs and half shafts planning to make the change back to the way the factory intended them to be. I still have the hubs and the shafts. The welded set has performed with out problems all this time, no clunks, no leaks, no problems. I still carry the hubs and one half shaft "just in case", I suspose I should "fix" this situation but why fix something that ain't broke? Jim [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
