Water temperature.

Post by Liz Harris » Mon Jun 06, 2005 4:44 pm

Hi all, I`ve noticed that at 55`ish mph, TC 2259 runs at around 65 degrees,( is this about right..?), but a bit more wellie...60 plus...and the temp will top 70 degrees!.....I don`t know how accurate the guage is but it`s the increase that slightly bothers me...the rad has plenty of coolant in it. The book sez ignition timing should be TDC but I seem to remember reading on the list some of you fellas run a couple of degrees before ...... 5-10 Deg BTDC works for modern petrol and as for the temp, have you got a thermostat in there? The 'stat should keep it above 70 deg - otherwise the guage could be reading low. Ian Thomson ------- --- Liz Harris lizandtweed@yahoo.co.uk> wrote:
