Moss Supercharger on TC

Post by D&J Edgar » Sun Jun 05, 2005 4:23 pm

Bob Davenport is a new TC owner and a new member of our group. As he lived fairly close to me, we set up a meet to look at each other's TCs and get to know each other. His stunning TC has a Moss supercharger on it and I noticed that the carb piston damper cap was rubbing on the bonnet. In fact it was rubbing so much that the brass cap was worn down on one edge almost all the way. Has anyone else who has installed the Moss supercharger had an interference fit like like this? Were you able to solve the problem? Please reply to the whole group so Bob gets the answer too. Thanks in advance, David Edgar, TC 5108 El Cajon, California

I removed the gasket from the cap and that solved my problem. Gene Roth

Listers, Speaking of the Moss supercharger...does it come with a boost gauge? If not, what is being used for one? Is there a T-type gauge that's available? And if so, where can they be obtained. Thanks, Gene Gillam Saucier, MS

Gene I believe Moss has a repro of that gauge and I am sure John Marks in England has made them, they look like a TC oil pressure gauge. Joe Curto [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
