BNA Petroleum
Hello all;
You will recall that some time back I indicated my plan to restore an old MG
TC era gas/petrol pump. Well I have purchased a couple of Tokheim Model 39
pumps and forgive me I have named them. They are "Regular" Joe and "Ethyl"!
Nobody ever accused me of being normal. Here is a link to some pictures if
you are interested. http://www.usaviator.net/Cars.htm They are in rather
poor condition, but will restore very nicely.
I do have a request of any of you who are particularly artistic. Rather than
restore the pumps to a particular Petroleum Company and use their colors and
logos etc. I have decided to create BNA Petroleum. BNA stands for Bud N
Anne. OK its not very original, but it's the best I can do. So here is the
assignment World.... I need a logo for BNA Petrol or BNA Petroleum. I would
prefer to use British Racing Green as the primary color and perhaps a
brighter shade of green for contrast. But any of you who are truly artistic
will know what colors to use. With your permission I will post all
submissions to my web site. I am not very artistic so help me out here. We
could have a contest..... How bout the winning entry gets a free ride in my
MG! Travel arrangements and expenses to get here are on you however. I feel
that the logo should have a definite "British" or "Old English" look to it.
With kindest personal regards, I shall remain,
Sincerely,
Bud Silvers

Re: BNA Petroleum
Bud! You named your petroleum company after the Nashville airport! BNA is
the identifier. Berry Field, Nashville.....
Of course, you could have named it ORD. Orchard, Chicago International!
Best,
Ray

Re: BNA Petroleum
O'Hare International was originally called Orchard Field which is where the
ORD came from. It was renamed in honor of Lt. Cmdr. Edward "Butch" O'Hare,
USN.

Re: BNA Petroleum
They don't change the identifiers when they re-name a field that I know
of...Denver would be Pena International!
