Clutch Actuating Lever

I need to remove the clutch actuating lever from the clutch shaft inside the bell housing. Does anyone know what the procedure for doing this is? I have already removed the transmission. Jim, Just looked at my spare and it's as I remembered from the one I did so many years ago. You simply remove the circlip from the clutch shaft (outside the bellhousing on the passenger side), press or knock out the roll-pin that holds the actuating lever to the clutch shaft and then press out the clutch shaft. The actuating lever will come off (I am assuming you mean the u-shaped lever that presses the throw-out bearing, right?). Regards, Gene Gillam Saucier, MS -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Hello Gene, Jim, A small point, but possibly crucial. The fork securing pin is a taper, not a roll pin; so it can only be removed in one direction, and it's a bit tricky, if memory serves. David, The transmission I looked at before I wrote Jim had a roll pin, not a taper. Could there have been more than one type of pin used? Or possibly a previous owner changed it out? Hello Gene, Good point, but the three that I've had through my hands were all taper pins. Both the lever on the outside and the fork. Curiouser and curiouser!
