Are the metric threads in and on the XPAG & Transmission the same as modern metrics except for the head sizes? Thanks, Tom TC 2850 [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

Tom, Yes and no. the 8 mm x 1.0 mm pitch bolts used on the T types are modern metric FINE. Standard modern metric is 8 x 1.25 mm pitch and not suitable. 6 mm x 1.0 mm pitch and 10mm x 1.5 mm pitch is same for T types and modern threads. Yes bolt heads are different but this should not stop you from using new metric bolts. , Bob Grunau -----Original Message----- From: mg-tabc@yahoogroups.com [mailto:mg-tabc@yahoogroups.com]On Behalf Of TMcNam4510@aol.com Sent: Thursday, April 21, 2005 9:29 PM To: mg-tabc@yahoogroups.com Subject: [mg-tabc] 6 X 1mm & 8 X 1mm Are the metric threads in and on the XPAG & Transmission the same as modern metrics except for the head sizes?
