Steering balls

Post by Graham Knight » Wed Mar 30, 2005 4:35 am

Hi, The steering balls in my TA which fit to the steering arms have straight shanks whilst the one which fits in the drop arm has a taper shank. Are my balls normal and, if so, why the difference? Graham

Yes Graham your balls (steering) are fine, early balls were straight shanked and later balls were tapered. Joe Curto [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

You're probably going to regret the way you worded that last sentence, but yes, your (steering) balls are perfectly normal. -- Chip Old 1948 M.G. TC TC6710 XPAG7430 NEMGTR #2271 Cub Hill, Maryland fold@bcpl.net
