OIL QUIZ !

Post by drcrougeux » Fri Mar 25, 2005 7:21 pm

Another spin on an old topic. My very early 50 TD has been using 30 wt Pennzoil HD High Detergent for 40 years, here in Northern Calif. (a mild climate). Does not burn oil (no blue smoke.) With the new technology, etc, what would be a change over choice ? 20/50 ? Synthetic ? What Brand ? Or do i need to c/o?. I wish the wisdom of the group. Not a command of the obvious. Pls advise.

I'm sorry, but the obvious is what I think makes sense. You've had great luck in a mile climate using 30 weight oil. No oil smoking after 40 years! Why are you thinking of changing horses in mid race? -Rick drcrougeux drcrougeux@yahoo.com> wrote: Another spin on an old topic. I suspect that 30 wt is all you need in your climate. I'm in Kansas City where the climate is more "variable" so I use Castrol 20w50 in my TC. Regards, Charles Hill drcrougeux wrote:
