Jack,
A friend used a roller throw-out bearing on his TD and it did not last well.
I personally do not use them as I know others have had problems.
There is nothing wrong with the original carbon thrust throw-out bearing if
you use a clutch return spring so the carbon thrust is not in contact with
the clutch when the clutch is engaged. Bob Grunau
G'day Group:
I reckon the pictures won't come through so I am sending the long eBay
viewing address as well.( http://
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?View&Itemcategory=34208&item=452441
2982&rd=1 ) Now why it did not change colour leaves me at a loss, as usually
it turns a light blue?
I would like to query the Group as to their opinions on the above subject, a
replacement part suggested for the Borg & Beck # 46892 or HD 1069 Clutch
Release ( Throw out ) Bearing.
Replies can be made, as to not plug up the works, off the web, unless a
sender feels his information is of Group worthiness and should be
communicated to the general population.
Cheers for now; respectfully:
Jack Emdall, TC # 6768 / TD # 3191
