Whitworth nut and bolt supplier
All those in the UK, if you have never heard of BABB they stock Whitworth (as well as UNF/UNC/Metric (but not 1.0 pitch)) fixings.
They have branches at:
Branches
Barnsley
Mansfield
Hull
Scunthorpe
Leeds
West Midlands
Brighouse
Preston
Doncaster
Rochdale
Leicester
The prices are right.

No. 1.0 is super fine pitch in one metric size, fine in another, and standard in others. Fineness of pitch is
dependent on size that goes with it.

hi Norman - they are called BAPP and seem to be suppliers to the structural industry, I could not see anything other than metric...
The bellhousing bolts in question are 8 x 1.0mm, as are the majority in the XPAG (lists are available, no need to repeat here) and I have everything, either with modern 13mm AF heads (only a tad smaller than the 5/16" BSF size) or with correct heads (at greater expense). I do of course have a "cottage industry" called "Mad Metrics" which many of you have used.
For these engine stands bolts 90mm long are needed, and the longest I have are 80mm for the rocker pedestals. Therefore, either studs will have to be used, or I can re-thread some HT socket cap head bolts (my preferred option).

The onemillimetre thread in the block is a problem as it limits the bolts that can be used but I've done it before with good bolts and some steel short strips to line things up. I think it's actually a bit safer than it looks ! I'll let you know if it isn't !! Re: Whitworth nut and bolt supplier
Hi NormanI can only find metric on the website, it may be just that your local one still has old stock in
Just to confirm BAPP do stock Whitworth, some BSF but not BA https://www.bapp.co.uk/ This morning I bought 4 x 3/8 x 70mm L Whitworth setscrews, 24 3mm screws and nuts and 48 washers and a 3.2mm drill (1/8 ) and it came to a staggering .. 3.00 Norman Verona aka "Email Norman" 11 Cherry close, Royston, S71 4LZ Mob: 0741 9905 741 Web: www.frenchblat.com From: mg-tabc@yahoogroups.com mg-tabc@yahoogroups.com> On Behalf Of norman verona norman@frenchblat.com [mg-tabc] Sent: 13 October 2019 22:50 To: Roger Furneaux roger.46tc@gmail.com> Cc: mg-tabc@yahoogroups.com Subject: RE: [mg-tabc] Whitworth nut and bolt supplier Roger et all, Sorry it is BABB and they do stock Whitworth. Therefore, either studs will have to be used, or I can re-thread some HT socket cap head bolts (my preferred option). ocTagonally Roger On Sun, Oct 13, 2019 at 5:30 PM norman verona norman@frenchblat.com [mg-tabc] mg-tabc-noreply@yahoogroups.com> wrote: All those in the UK, if you have never heard of BABB they stock Whitworth (as well as UNF/UNC/Metric (but not 1.0 pitch)) fixings. Therefore, either studs will have to be used, or I can re-thread some HT socket cap head bolts (my preferred option). ocTagonally Roger On Sun, Oct 13, 2019 at 5:30 PM norman verona norman@frenchblat.com [mg-tabc] mg-tabc-noreply@yahoogroups.com> wrote:

The bellhousing bolts in question are 8 x 1.0mm, as are the majority in the XPAG (lists are available, no need to repeat here) and I have everything, either with modern 13mm AF heads (only a tad smaller than the 5/16" BSF size) or with correct heads (at greater expense). I do of course have a "cottage industry" called "Mad Metrics" which many of you have used. For these engine stands bolts 90mm long are needed, and the longest I have are 80mm for the rocker pedestals. Therefore, either studs will have to be used, or I can re-thread some HT socket cap head bolts (my preferred option). ocTagonally Roger On Sun, Oct 13, 2019 at 5:30 PM norman verona norman@frenchblat.com [mg-tabc] mg-tabc-noreply@yahoogroups.com> wrote: All those in the UK, if you have never heard of BABB they stock Whitworth (as well as UNF/UNC/Metric (but not 1.0 pitch)) fixings. Subject: Re: [mg-tabc] Whitworth nut and bolt supplier hi Norman - they are called BAPP and seem to be suppliers to the structural industry, I could not see anything other than metric... Therefore, either studs will have to be used, or I can re-thread some HT socket cap head bolts (my preferred option). ocTagonally Roger On Sun, Oct 13, 2019 at 5:30 PM norman verona norman@frenchblat.com [mg-tabc] mg-tabc-noreply@yahoogroups.com> wrote:
