'Caution Right Hand Drive' Sign

Post by Ron Zeraldo » Tue Nov 13, 2018 3:20 pm

Hello Listers, I am looking for a metal sign that reads: ‘CAUTION: RIGHT HAND DRIVE’ for my TC...approx. 5” x 3” in size (or any size close to this). Interested in any type of sign/plaque that could be mounted on the rear of the TC.   I have seen these signs many years ago at auto flee markets...if you have one that you want to part with please contact me.

Best Regards,

I agree, the premise of a right hand drive sign is a great idea, but I think a more vintage looking sign than Ebay's #141913026405 would be more in keeping with our MGs. Kent TA1501 ---- "Charles Schott schottc@knology.net [mg-tabc]" mg-tabc-noreply@yahoogroups.com> wrote:

Attachments :hi Ron - there are many Chinese firms making tin-plate signs: perhaps you could get one interested. Who knows, they might even add it to their inventory. Or you could make your own: I saw this one at Brooklands in their 2007 centenary year. I think it was on the 1923 V12 Land Speed Holder Delage. Roger

I read a book years ago that was a compilation of stories from a guy involving finding ,dragging home and restoring various cars. One of them was a RH drive Jaguar that was in running condition. He took this young son with him, and took a spare steering wheel just to see the looks on peoples faces that that this young boy was behind the 'wheel' at highway speed. He sounded like quite a character.   Mark TC8126 Ohio

If the father was a prankster of that caliber, imagine what the son grew up to be. He would have a dog behind the second wheel. People often say "Look, the steering wheel is on the left side," to which I reply, "No, it is on the right side, everybody else is on the wrong side.  On Wednesday, November 14, 2018 5:26 PM, "'Mark M' tc8126@earthlink.net [mg-tabc]" mg-tabc-noreply@yahoogroups.com> wrote: This message is eligible for Automatic Cleanup! I have had a right hand drive home market '67 MGB for over 40 years.  (NLR 23F, BRG, and built on my birthday in 1967 according to the original factory build sheets that came with the car!)  My sister had a quite large brindle Great Dane who just loved to ride in that B on nice days with the top down.  He would sit in the passenger seat with one front paw on the door and the other on the top of the dashboard. I would squnch down real low in the driver's seat so that it would look to all the world like George was driving and we'd run down the GW Parkway to Mt. Vernon and back. The startled looks on some faces were just priceless. - Mike Hughes  - -  '37 TA 0512 On Wednesday, November 14, 2018 6:13 PM, "'Mark M' tc8126@earthlink.net [mg-tabc]" mg-tabc-noreply@yahoogroups.com> wrote:   I read a book years ago that was a compilation of stories from a guy involving finding ,dragging home and restoring various cars. I often used to turn heads with my beloved border collie "Charlotte" heads up and ears flapping in the 'drivers seat', windshield down...both of us grinning ear to ear. Our family had somewhat similar but less spectacular experiences in about 1952 involving a Singer 9 and a cocker spaniel. The cocker didn't have the style of the Dane, but it startled other drivers just the same. I would squnch down real low in the driver's seat so that it would look to all the world like George was driving and we'd run down the GW Parkway to Mt.
