Hi Bill,This is the way I explain the Voltage regulator /Control box to my grand son. There are 9 wires to connect.First let us look for the Earth ! it is marked " E " Very simple. So now we are left with 8 terminals.Let us connect the Dynamo! That is what we regulate. It is fishing!!! you invest a worm on the hook to get a big fish.Like wise we sent a small amount of current to the Dynamo " F " Field winding to excite it.Now revolving the Dynamo we get power out of Dynamo " D "So let us hook D and F wires to dynamo. Now only 6 terminal left. you get 12 V power from the Battery via Ammeter to Terminal " A "after connecting " A " to Ammeter we are left with 5 terminal.Terminal " A1 " is the 12 V supply to the Ignition Switch, that is secured with a fuse to protect the wires.Terminal " A2 " is the 12 V supply for the Horn. Now we are left with the rest 3 terminals.Terminal A3 get 12 V supply via Ignition Switch. That means here you have supply to Coil & SU pump when Ign. is on.So via a secured fuse Terminal 2 x A4 is connected to lightsso we connected all the 9 wires. Was it very difficult ?? ? regards madhu, Bad Soden, Germany 2018-05-17 0:05 GMT+02:00 Bill Miller wmmiller@aol.com [mg-tabc] mg-tabc-noreply@yahoogroups.com>:
Here is a new problem. Am reiring my 47TC with a Moss wiring harness for an EXUTC with turn signals. Everything was going fine until it came time to hook up the regulator. I obviously do not have a RF 95 control box as the terminal letters, on the control I have, run in the following sequence from left to right looking down on the terminals. A4 A4 E A3 D A1 A F A2 The RF95 control box shows the following, per the wiring diagram A1 A A2 F D A4 A4 E A3 Questions, what control box do I have. Second, do I ignore the sequence and hook up according to the letter and appropriate wire shown on the wiring diagrams. Bill Miller TC2387 Grove, Oklahoma
