Future of Dino oil?

A few years ago I met an old acquaintance I attended college with back in the early 1970's (and British car guy). He was a geology major and just retired after spending his whole career with one of the well known oil companies. I asked about all the talk of running out of oil in the next xx years. He laughed and said ... yea, thats the popular slant these days, but really, not more than 3% of the known reserves are used and we are finding more all the time. Yes, it is deeper and more difficult to recover and process but you will still be able to enjoy your TC for the next couple hundred years. What a relief!
