Case iron crack repair/ strip thread repair

Post by Usaj24@earthlink.net » Thu Feb 01, 2018 4:57 pm

Anyone having experienced a cast iron crack, or crack extending from threaded hole to water jacket or through to cylinder bore, do not despair. See:http://www.locknstitch.com/index.html. Link to Full-Torque inserts for information on inserts suitable for through hole/wall inserts, I.e. stripped  spark plug threads. Another version (Spiralhook) are suitable for blind holes with crack extending from threaded hole to a water hole passage in block deck. Still another version is designed to fix a crack extending from deck surface and down threaded bolt/stud hole, or to cyl. bore. Last version repairs crack in threaded hole to water passage. These pull cracked thread holes together as bolt/stud is tensionedThese are permanent repairs, not band aide fixes, and in most cases DIY jobs. Sent from my iPad

Locknstitch works great.   The SA engine (poor storage from a previous owner)  had a 16" crack in the water jacket, $200 for a Locknstitch do it yourself repair kit and now the  engine is better than new.....3000 miles and counting..... Here is an article I wrote for an MG Magazine back in 2006 on this product.  Fantastic stuff!

The PDF attachment did not come through on the consolidated summary – did it come through on the individual ones?
