I have a squeak

Post by rmeismer1@aol.com » Tue Jul 23, 2002 7:03 pm

I just started to hear a squeak, squeak, squeak a kind of high pitch sound. It gets faster with more RPMs. I took the fan belt off to make sure it was not a generator ,fan shaft bearing or belt. The only thing that I have changed was the oil (Castrol 20w50). I was wondering if XPAG engines have any problems with oil passage ways pluging up,to the upper end. Open for any ideas. I thought that I would adjust the valves to see if that had any effect. Rolland You might check for a bent push rod, all you need to do is rotate them when they are not under tension.
