Carb identification

Post by Jennifer and Hugh Pite » Wed Jun 26, 2002 12:17 pm

Hi, does anyone know the number on the carbs that came with the TC originally and, according to M. Sherrell, should be avoided? He doesn't give this number. Hugh Pite '48 MG '33 J-2 [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

Hugh if he means to avoid the actual body it is easy to tell as it is a very heavy Zinc Cast, the flanges usually are bowed and the bore is egg shaped, and the mount holes are crushed closed.BUT they are the correct look for a TC the other stuff is an aluminum lightweight body and people like me can tell the difference, the number 3478 is on it but it is also on the aluminum one.
