Crank handle

Post by Sally Carroll » Fri May 31, 2002 5:55 pm

Does anybody on the North coast have a starting crank handle available? Some one has apparently adopted my spare and with 5 vehicles which can be started the old fashioned way. . .the Bent one remaining is suspect. I know Moss has them but come on $60 for a piece of iron with a cross bolt? and then the shipping and handling.

In a moment of idleness I once decided to make an exact copy of a starting handle using a real one as a pattern - Never got finished and $60 sounds cheap in retrospect! Clive ======================================

Don, Behind the seat on the wood panel there. You will need three clips which are available from most suppliers. John TB

Don, John is right. But if you want maximum leg room for a six footer, leave the crank and the clips at home. The seat can be moved back further if the crank clips are not installed. Dear Jim: To add to your confusion Jim, my 1948 TC has a 24 inch crank and works properly. It also fits the 1937 MG VA Tickford DHC. Tally Ho! Thom Collins Port Charlotte, FL [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
