list content blues
I wonder how many share Mike Card's views about
the "rubbish" on the tabc list, but have not dared to
comment because to do so would encourage yet more
"rubbish" in reply.
------------------------------
Actually, my non commenting response was, before I decided to comment.
I missed the whole thread. I saw "no LBC content." And hit delete. Pretty
simple.
I only found out about the moaning and gnashing of teeth because every
day or two I open one of those messages to see if they have wandered from the
original topic and have begun to address actual LBC content.
And as my automotive contribution here is a posting I put on the MG
website. Most T type owners don't leave their cars out in the sun to become
oxidized, but after 50 some years, it can happen anyway.
Just a quick note on a product I have found to be very good for oxidized
paint on my cars. I keep meeting people who haven't used this and think they
need a new paint job. This is much cheaper.
I know the people on this list are well informed, not to mention
good-looking and charming, but on the possibility that this information helps
one person, here it is.
TR-3 resin glaze. Found everywhere, even in the grocery store automotive
section.
If you don't like the name for some reason.
Turtle wax makes a
similar product called : Color back.
If you wipe your hand across the roof of your car and it comes off with
powder the color of your paint, or if your cars paint job no longer reflects
images, this stuff is really amazing.
You will color the rags you use the color of your paint, so have plenty
of extra rags.
I once tried it on metallic paint with no luck. Also, color coated paint.
No luck.
So, your mileage may vary, all usual disclaimers apply. No connection
with either company, Blah blah blah.
Eric Peterson (different Eric from origenal posting at top. So I removed
his name to avoid confusion.)
