NEED SOME HELP WITH MY 1936 MG TA

Post by Merv Hurley » Mon May 13, 2002 4:08 pm

I have a 1936 MG TA in resoration and am missing a part on my chassis. In all the parts supplier lists I have to hand, none actually name the piece, nor appear to have the part available. I have attached a JPEG of a sectioned line drawing of the TA chassis with red circles around the part that I wish to identify. The part - from the driver's side - was lost by the chassis aligner when it was in his shop. He decries all knowledge of it, but that's another story. What I want is to replace it. Being down here in little old New Zealand it is somewhat difficult to access information on the TA (there are only four '36 here) so am turning to the MG-TABC Group for help. Can someone tell me: 1) What the part's name is? 2) Is it available from Moss, Naylor, etc? 3) Or alternately, is there someone out there who has made them and can supply? Regards from Downunder Mervyn Hurley Auckland New Zealand ---------------------- "MAGGIE" - 1936 MG TA Body No.: 504/4765 Body Type: B269 Car: TA0657 [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

I see that the attached JPEG to my earlier e-mail has been removed although the image didn't carry any virus. So, to clarify my enquiry, I wish to know the name of the TA part which is at the front end of each chassis rail to which the front chassis cross-member fits in.
