Question
The clamp that holds the two intake manifold sections together is that brass
plated with nickel? I appears to be to thin for chrome and with a slight
polishing brass shows through.
Thanks Bob

question
I attended the NE Ohio Healey Show and swap meet up in Solon, Ohio today, a number of TC's on hand. Jeff Fields and Fred Kuntz to name a few, nice day with a bit of sun.
Question, I'm getting ready to mount up the bonnet on TC2911, the little machine screws that hold the latch mechanisms, were these painted car color or left raw? Were they brass or steel? I think I have seen both.
I know, I know we are approaching the ridiculous here, but I have to put screws in to hold them, might as well at least try to get them the way they were done. Anyone know?
Thanks,
Steve Stierman TC2911

Re: question
Dear Steve,
Mine are brass and are identical, haven't checked the thread flavor though. If they appear to be odd, I will.

Re: question
Hiya!
TC5308 has unpainted brass screws holding the latches on - I wondered about
them myself, but most everything else about the car is so correct I have
to believe they should be brass. I haven't seen anything on brass vs. paint
for those items.

Re: question
2 BA brass slotted button head screws. I always thought they were painted body colour like the other visible bolts on the dumb iron cover.

Question
Did the TA,TB, and all TCs have the handbrake greaser. Specifically the triangle shaped grease point located just forward of the rear tire.
Thanks

Re: Question
Hello Bob, I can t help on early TA but TA2258 onwards had the 6-pipe (3 per side) lube system, i.e. no triangular plate as the TC. I believe the TB was similar to late TA. See my TABC article http://www.mg-tabc.org/library/TA-lubrication.htm Regards, Ian Linton TA3120 Lewes, East Sussex, UK From: mg-tabc-noreply@yahoogroups.com Sent: Wednesday, April 01, 2015 8:56 PM To: mg-tabc@yahoogroups.com Subject: [mg-tabc] Question
