I'm pretty sure the original stuff was black, but I'll leave it to someone who owned a TC when new to say yay or nay on that. The Lucas black & yellow (bumblebee) wire didn't come along until later. I know Triumph started using it in the mid 1960's, but have no idea when/if MG did. Having said that, I like the way the bumblebee wire looks on a T-Type. If you like it, use it. Otherwise good old Packard 440 is a good choice. -- Chip Old 1948 M.G.
