TC4427 Back to Life

Post by Viv James TraX Interconnect (Pty.) Ltd » Mon Apr 15, 2002 5:43 am

Yesterday, TC4427, my "Cream Car" came back to life after a long long slumber of mayber 30 years - who knows? The XPAG started like it had never been asleep and sounds really sweet. There were a few minor problems like a leaky tank (already sloshed with an epoxy compound and ready for re-installation), a sticking dashpot and the odd water drip but otherwise nothing major. Oil pressure was good and the Crane cam made things sound really sharp. Now for the finishing touches like trim, soft top etc. Viv

Congrats on a successful startup! Like yours, mine has been sitting patiently for 26 years. Next week I expect it to 'fire it up'. Hope the results are the same! Cheers, Lee Jacobsen, TA 2969 Tickford.
