Can anyone suggest a good source for an S.U. electronic fuel pump? I want to carry a reliable spare pump when my TC is complete.
And thanks to the five or so people who when I asked for suggestions on how to stop the leak at my rear brake cylinders suggested that I anneal the copper washers. I did that and it appears that has worked...Merci Beaucoup.

If you want a simple low tech fuel pump back up try this. I don't
know who came up with the idea but have seen it in several MG club
newsletters and I think it was in the TSO.
Buy a pump bulb used on blood pressure kits. Can be found at a
pharmacy. Buy a #9 rubber stopper that fits into your petrol tank
opening (look for Labratory Equipment in your yellow pages) .
Connect the two items with some drip irrigation tubing.
Should your fuel pump quit put in the rubber stopper, give the bulb a
couple squeezes and you have now pressurized the petrol tank which
will force petrol through the bad electric pump and into the carbs.
Just give a couple squeezes every 10 to 15 minutes and you can get
home or wherever you are going. You only want to maintain about 3
pounds of pressure. More could flood the carbs. Best of all it only
takes a few seconds to install when you need it and costs about $12.
And while not original in any way on a TC, I understand the K type MG
fuel delivery worked on this principal.

Burlen in the UK offers a kit for converting the original SU pump to electronic. It looks normal as the mod all fits under the orig. cover. Dick
