Hi anybody: Can anyone tell me if the support that holds the back of the hood to the cowl should be on top the rubber strip or do you cut out the rubber so the support bracket sets on the wood at the cowl? Thanks.

Re: Rubber strip cowl to hood
Rolland, On my car just the flat part of the rubber strip is cut out allowing the clips to sit on the wood and the bead of the rubber to run continuously between the cowl and the hood panels. I did this myself and can't remember whether or not I duplicated the original exactly. I can send a picture if you like. Awaiting the sirens of the Orginality Police, Michael DeRentz

Re: Rubber strip cowl to hood
Rolland The rubber is cut out for the support bracket, this allows the hood to set on the rubber Cheers Dean -----Original Message-----
