Roger I just noticed that Eastwood have a product called 'rubber cork' which is intended for sump and rocker box gaskets. Worth a try? You will find it on the Frost website - www.frost.co.uk - it is listed under Sealing and Filling - gasket repair. Regards Tony TC9825
